We also did some scrambling ( hence the helmets)- see the video!
Fiennes walked to Pooley Bridge today. After a 5 mile walk and steamer back, we then went in the tunnels (although there are no pictures of this)! We also did some scrambling ( hence the helmets)- see the video!

Another lovely morning here and we always enjoy a good breakfast to get us ready for the day's activities. Today, Fiennes group are walking and going on the lake, Dalton group are canoeing and Bonnington are gorge walking! Year 5 and 6 had a fantastic last day of term at Tanfield Comp today. The two Steves (Barlow and Skidmore) entertained us with hilarious tales from their stories. As you can see from the video below, it was a fully interactive experience, which the children raved about on the way home! They encouraged us to believe that 'we are all writers'. My favourite part was when they said that you should write about what you know: YOU! They also took the time to talk to Leah about her 100wc post. What was your favourite part? Enjoy the video below - sorry there is no sound, but I've added a Youtube clip to make it more atmospheric! Spooky Literacy Day from Mark temple on Vimeo. Descriptive Recount
Patiently, I nervously waited at the outstanding colourful sign glittering in the vivid sun.The vision of the undiscovered blood curdling domain of the egnima gods, sent shivers through my fragile body. Suddenly, the automatic gates opened which had a creaky old sound that played from the deafening speakers of the exhilarating theme park. Fearfully, I bravely put one foot in the theme park. There it was again, the mysterious sound of the alarming gods horrifically whispering welcome repeatedly getting louder and louder. Out of the corner of my eye I was mesmerised by the sound of the immense screaming and the tracks vibrating as the roller coasters whizz past me, I grinned with excitement then I was about to run then I stopped myself as I stopped and starred at the unimaginable rides there was the biggest formidable ride in the world, The enclave of frantic cyclopses than I turned to my left surrounding me was the Simulated skull of illusions... On a murderous fearful cold windy winters night I felt a chill sprint up my boney back I shivered in the darkness.Suddenly, a creepy sound stalked and swirled around my ears making me dizzy. Fearfully I heard a spiriting whirling sound sinking into my ear drum. My heart was about to experience a strange sensitive feeling. The sound was gradually getting louder and louder.Anxiously, I counted to three this usually makes me calm down. Sweating, I swung the covers of my quilt off me and took a sneaky snooping look out side. Slowly, the sky got darker.
The Star of the Week was Abbie, for preparing herself for lessons and always acting on feedback in both Literacy and Numeracy!
This week has been a blogging bonanza so it has been very hard to choose a best Blogger of the Week. Thus, the following children who did the 100 word challenge online are the winners: Rose, Lucy, Alyssa, Jack F., Ryan, Adam and Kristen. Nathan gave us the Sentence of the Week: "Unfortunately, we will have to make some new boats because in the storm they got wrecked." Meanwhile, Curtis won Text of the Week. You can hear a (very expressive) recording of his persuasive argument below! Well done, everyone - keep working hard! Today was the drastic day were there was no tommorow in neverland.Unfortuantley we had to leave due to the most tragic accident on the universe waking up sleepy! there was no way to get across the borders only by fearful air ballooons. We nervously climbed into the balloon feeling depressed. However, once i got in my heart stopped as i looked down i was suprised to see joyful little green smurfs on the other side of the border, singing happily to their little marvellous smurf tunes then they spotted us, they scattered away feeling scared but that was the last of us! But what happens next?....,
